AWAKE AWARENESS
2 IDEAS FROM ME
Polaris is the North Star in the Little Dipper. It can help you orient yourself to True North, where you are in space and time, and function as a map key to other constellations. However, the Little Dipper does not actually exist. It visually appears as a tight dipper, but in reality, the stars are not clustered and are spread out in 3D space from 130 to 490 Light Years from Earth. Ego is like the Little Dipper. It filters reality by “How does this affect me?” Awake Awareness is the conscious field behind the camera where thoughts and concepts emerge. It engages reality as it is, not as you wish it to be. Making daily choices from awake awareness rather than ego is like using Polaris to orient yourself to the true north of your highest values and full potential. It is the observing, non-reactive clarity that sees through sensations, feelings, mind, and insight without being controlled by them.
Awake awareness is the observer layer that allows you to chose to live in harmony with your true nature, highest values, and full potential rather than drift driven by the three poisoins of lopa, dosa, and moha (greed, aversion, and dilusion). Living from awake awareness requires recognizing the three poisons and chisling them away to reveal your true core like Leonardo Da Vinci’s statue of David.
